What is Microneedling with Dermapen?
Microneedling with Dermapen is a minimally invasive, non surgical procedure effective for skin rejuvenation. Dermapen is suitable for all skin types, for both men and women. Dermapen involves the use of multiple microneedles to cause tiny controlled punctures into the skin. These pinpoints trigger the wound healing response of the body that naturally stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin on the treated area. As a result, self-repair and rejuvenation of the skin occurs. Old and damaged skin tissues dissolve and are replaced by new cells. Microneedling with Dermapen is used to combat acne scarring, enlarged pores, fine lines and wrinkles.
In our London clinic, we endorse the Dermapen brand. Dermapen is an electronic skin microneedle device. It consists of a small pen which can cover small areas of the face, like the nose and under eyes. The depth of the needles can be adapted depending on the area of sensitivity.
Dermapen comes with disposable, sterilised individual micro-needling tips. Before the treatment, a topical anaesthetic cream is applied to the treated area. Microneedling has been proven to enhance skin rejuvenation and is safe for the patients with little downtime.
