After your first consultation with one of our specialists, and subject to validation, the session can begin.
After making the laser adjustments according to the tattoo of the patient, the practitioner cleans the area to be treated with compresses and a disinfecting lotion.
In the second step, we will equip all the members present in the room with special glasses in order to protect the eyes from the powerful radiations of the laser to avoid any risk of eye injury.
The tattoo removal session can last 5 to 45 minutes depending on the characteristics of the tattoo.
What are the side effects?
After the session, it is normal to notice a localized redness, associated with a feeling of heat, but these usually disappear after a few hours.
Crusts, edema, redness or blisters may also occur. Be careful, do not pick crusts and blisters: these symptoms last on average 15 days and a repair cream will be systematically proposed to accelerate healing.
Finally, we rarely observe hyper or hypopigmentation reactions that are reversible most of the time.
The main risk to be feared is that a scar persists if the consequences of the treatment are poorly managed or if you suffer from a low level of healing (risk of keloid scar).
On the other hand, the risk that can happen with weak lasers is the appearance of a ghost tattoo (the pattern of the tattoo is much clearer but persistent in time). However, with the Picosure® laser, this risk is completely eliminated.
Is laser tattoo removal Painful?
Although the pain tolerance is unique to everyone, tattoo removal is known to be more painful than the tattoo itself. The treatment involves a series of pulses to which is added a sensation of tingling and burning. We can compare the sensation of treatment to that which one feels if one takes a series of strokes of elastic. To reduce the pain, an anesthetic cream can be applied 1 to 2 hours before the session.
It is imperative to clean the treated area daily with clean water and to dry it well by tapping lightly with a clean towel.
It will then apply a healing cream 2 to 3 times per day until complete healing. In some cases, an occlusive dressing may be applied for a few days to accelerate healing. Do not scratch or scrub the treated area.
Finally, a sun protection total screen is essential for 4 weeks after treatment.
Is there a trace?
In the majority of cases, with Picosure®, there will be no scar on the tattooed area. However, some cases carry a higher risk that a scar persists after treatment. We recommend being vigilant for dull skins (phototype 3 and 4) and do not recommend tattoo removal for black skins.
What to do in case of side effects
A skin reaction may occur following one of your sessions. If some water blisters appear, whether your skin appears red or swollen, do not worry. We recommend that you moisturize the area with a healing cream and cover it with a dressing or compress to avoid chafing.
How long to remove a tattoo?
With the innovative Picosure® technique, it takes about 6 months to 1 year to completely remove your tattoo and keep no trace of it. While with a traditional “Q-switched” laser, it would take about 2 years.
Is Picosure laser tattoo removal economical?
Picosure laser tattoo removal sessions are usually more expensive than traditional lasers because of the cost of the equipment and the technology used. However, the number of sessions is halved, the treatment is the same price as with another laser and can in some cases be even more profitable for the patient.Treatments should be carried out every 8 weeks with no sun exposure in between.

Is it possible to get tattooed again?
