What is vaginal laxity?

The vaginal tissue, just like the skin, evolves over time.

Approximately 50% of woman are concerned by vaginal laxity and it is more common that we know. Concerns like these are difficult to talk about and are still seen as somewhat of a taboo subject. That’s why, at Epilium & Skin, we have developed a consultation with specialist doctors and an experienced sexologist. There are all types of reasons for why laxity becomes a concern: aging, childbirth, genetics and lifestyle.
Menopause may also be responsible. Indeed, hormonal changes and more particularly the decline of estrogen transform tissues that lose their elasticity and become less toned.

Solutions at Epilium & Skin

Intimate Rejuvenation (or Vaginal rejuvenation and tightening) is now possible thanks to a radiofrequency treatment with leading edge technology, VIVEVE. No need for surgery, anaesthetics or pain.
The VIVEVE technology creates a warm thermal effect, restoring, regenerating and tightening collagen and elastin fibers inside the vagina. This thermal effect causes contraction and of the vaginal walls.

The treatment

VIVEVE have produced a patented integrated cooling system that works alongside the delivery of radiofrequency to ensure the treatment is comfortable for every patient. The energy is then transmitted using a probe for approximately 30 minutes and is rotated whilst simultaneously warming and cooling the deep soft tissues thus stimulating regeneration naturally.

The results

90% of treated women experienced significant and lasting tightening up to 12 months after the treatment with most women feeling results in approximately 30 days and the full effects at around 90 days. With some patients opting, after a year or more, to have a maintaining treatment.

What is mild or stress urinary incontinence?

20% of woman are concerned with or suffer from the most common form of incontinence. Stress Urinary Incontinence occurs during physical exercise, sports, coughing or sneezing. This effort causes pressure on the bladder and causes a small urinary leak.

During a woman’s life, childbirth, menopause, and age may have caused relaxation of the pelvic muscles, a natural process of the body.

Women are often embarrassed to talk to their doctor and only 1/3 of them dare to confide because they do not know how to formulate their problem. This gene, ubiquitous in these women, causes loss of self-esteem and anxiety even during sex. They often use disposable pads.

Thanks to VIVEVE’s leading technology it is now possible to treat mild and moderate incontinence. The radiofrequency delivers heat stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. The new collagen fulfills its role by providing a better support to the organs and by firming and straightening the vaginal tissues.

This treatment of mild or stress incontinence is done by a doctor following a consultation to assess the specific symptoms.

What is a sexual dysfunction?

Sexual dysfunction brings together the difficulties or troubles experienced by a woman or a couple during their intimate relationship.
The consultation process helps identify the physical origin and main concerns experienced by the woman to establish if they are appropriate for treatment using the new radio-frequency technology “VIVEVE”.
Once the physical origin of the concerns for the woman are clearly identified they can be treated.

Over time, the tissues of the vagina as those of the rest of the body lose their hydration. Especially during the menopause, most women suffer from a vaginal dryness causing gene, irritation, discomfort and lack of intimate pleasure, even pain, during intercourse.

The “VIVEVE” radiofrequency treatment offered by Epilium & Skin will repair the internal support network of the vaginal wall made of collagen fibers. By heating the cells of vaginal tissues by radiofrequency, we will regenerate them, produce new collagen fibers and thus allow better lubrication.

The treatment

You will be received during a first consultation by a doctor who will review your symptoms, your hormonal status and your expectations.
The VIVEVE treatment lasts only 30 minutes.
Most patients find one session is sufficient, however your doctor will discuss this more with you during your consultation.
The doctor introduces a single-use smooth tip the size of an inch at the entrance of the vagina and rotates.
This treatment is comfortable because the released energy alternately produces a pre-cooling of the tissue before delivering a controlled heat.

The results

The VIVEVE treatment has been specifically designed to help millions of women who accept these discomforts silently.

By this stimulation, the vaginal wall can regain suppleness and hydration and the discomfort can be vastly alleviated.
The side effects of such a treatment may also inprove intimate relationships for both partners as well as restores a better quality of life and well-being for the individual.
