The Vampire Facelift (PRP)

Platelet Rich Plasma is an innovative facial which results in the complete rejuvenation of the skin tissue.

Using a small volume of the patient’s own, platelet-rich blood, it is re-injected into the face where it gradually releases many growth factors. PRP not only boosts the production of collagen, fibroblasts and blood vessels, it is also a fantastic choice for deep tissue repair.

What happens during the treatment?

Platelet Rich Plasma takes place in 5 steps and takes 1 hour to treat the face, 1 ½ hours for the scalp, and around 1 ½ hours for the face, neck and décolletage.

Stage 1: THE BLOOD

The practitioner retrieves one or more blood sample depending on the area to be treated.

Stage 2: CENTRIFUGING

Blood samples are centrifuged for 6 minutes. This separates the platelet rich plasma from other denser components such as red blood cells and white blood cells.

Stage 3: ACTIVATION

To activate, the tube is slowly tipped several times from top to bottom to simplify the extraction of the plasma.

Stage 4: THE SYRINGE

The specialist extracts only the plasma present in the sample using a syringe or micro cannula.

Stage 5: INJECTIONS

The practitioner removes the anesthetic cream after half an hour and performs the hypodermic injections. The syringe contains proteins that are adept at cell stimulation, repair and deep tissue regeneration.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) can treat:

  • Nasolabial folds
  • Acne Scars
  • Skin depressions
  • Wrinkles of the crow’s feet
  • The entire face for an overall improvement in skin texture
  • Backs of the hands
  • The neck
  • The cleavage
  • Scalp (the injection of platelet-rich plasma is very effective in treating hair loss).

The results

The majority of patients found a marked improvement in skin firmness in the days after treatment. Optimum results are visible after the third week, allowing time for the new collagen to form.

Results may vary according to each patient and the area to be treated.

We recommend three sessions in three subsequent months to have the best possible results. After this initial course, we suggest a treatment every six months.
