Face Concern – Drooping Eyelid or Ptosis

Drooping eyelid (also called Ptosis) is a problem caused by the drop of the upper eyelid to a lower position. Sometimes, the eyelid can even fall on the lashes or even affect the vision.

The condition can affect one or both eyes. Congenital ptosis is another type of eyelid condition that can affect the patient at birth. It’s also develop slowly over the time caused by the loss of volume on the upper eyelid. In some cases, the muscles or nerves may have been affected and the only solution to reduce the problem is eye surgery.
